StoryStrong creates safe, affirming spaces for communities to share their stories, connect across generations, strengthen mental health, and find lasting healing.

Like the rings of a tree, every season of life — every story — adds strength. We gather in circles because a circle has no head and no foot: everyone is seen, everyone belongs. Our method blends storytelling, the arts, and trauma-aware practice to turn lived experience into healing and wisdom.

StoryStrong began in Flint through the Greater Flint Health Coalition's BIPOC Mental Health initiative — bringing elders and students into one circle. It was featured by Flintside, and has continued with new cohorts since.
